Currently the stats of the top four in poll are

SOS 4th OR 38-16
SOS 3rd OR 41-16
SOS 27th OR 33-24
SOS 69th OR 29-28

Guess which one is ranked 1st. And they claim there is no bias involved.

Football schedules are made several years in advance. You can't control how much another team has fallen before you play them. The SEC sets their schedule and all you can do is play your opponent and not their record.

That is not the question.

Based on SOS , which is the criteria most used to justify omitting UCF from playoffs even though they have not lost a game in almost two years, how would you seed the four teams which are in the top 4?

Three of the four are still undefeated. So what criteria is used to rank these teams where they currently sit in the playoff rankings?

You left off one important piece. What is their record? If they have won every single game they've played, then yes, they deserve a chance to play for the national championship.
