It’s a possibility we can pick up wins against Charlotte and UTSA.

7-4 with a bowl game and opportunity to close out 8-4, 7-0in bowl games is what we have to play for now.

It’s doable.

UTSA won't be a problem.
The last time S Miss lost to Charlotte, so did Marshall that same season.

Don't take this as anything against your defense, they are very good, but those three games are the 3 that Keion Davis was, injured and Tyler King actually got to play RB1. King was 500 of those yards over the last 3 games, and leading the conference at over 6 ypc. He got hurt at the end of the FAU game and didn't play yesterday.

Uhh...USM was playing our FIFTH string QB (True freshman), our 4th and fifth string RB's (a True and redshirt frosh), and our best WR has been out the last four games (sophomore).

We all have crosses to bear...and we will be loaded for bear next year with, I believe, 18 returning starters. 04-cheers

Don't believe me? QB chart in Spring game: Griggs
Howard
Abraham
The Cuban Missile

RB chart in Spring game: George Payne
The kid who transferred
Tez Parks
Anderson

The game yesterday was not a thing of beauty for either team. That said, it was encouraging that USM's starting backfield were all freshmen. Whatley and Mosely are both true freshmen and Anderson is a rs freshman. The defense delivered when needed. I will be honest, when we missed that extra point, I was seeing the Herd winning by one and if they had recovered that onside kick, probably would have happened. This is a very young USM team and if they can learn to not beat themselves, maybe they can finish strong. I don't see us going to a bowl, but it would be huge to get these young players the extra practice time if we could make a bowl.

Sadly that’s acceptable to those in our AD and administration.

Don't understand at all what your reply has to do with what you originally posted and I replied to. Our rushing game was not good the first four games of the year. Davis got injuried which meant King took over and our run game got much better, as you pointed out by saying we averaged 200 yards the last three weeks. King gets hurts last game and our running game goes back to being bad. That's all I said.

I have no idea why your started talking about your offense. No one made a post about how Marshall shut you guys down, so you had nothing to defend.

We have bits and pieces. He had a short passing game between the 20s with Abraham. We almost have a running game with Whatley. 16/25, 134 yards, 1 TD is ok.

We knew Marshall had a solid defense coming in. Limiting mistakes and taking advantage of Marshall's got us this win, barely. We have to hope to repeat this the rest of the way. Our offense is no juggernaut.
