Refs already pulling some antics for the SEC team.

The Charlotte QB blew it on that 4th down and 5 play. He had Charlotte's #3 WIDE OPEN on the inside slant, but chose to throw it to the much better covered outside receiver, for an incomplete pass on 4th down. Just a shame.

Our offense play calling is absolutely atrocious

That QBs struggles to see multiple reads.

I've been watching the Big Urenge for over 60 years and they always get Home Cookin' even when they aren't inside Neyland Stadium. Now add to that the fact that Charlotte is a lowly CUSA team and the SEC Refs are salivating! Go 49'ers. Beat thos crappy Vols.

Yep penalty call that should have been on UTK killed our first drive.

My lord, our defense does not deserve our offense. Hanging in there.

I must say I am well impressed by Charlotte staying close.

Defense is legit. Offense is so so bad.

You're playing a middle of the pack SEC team in their house. The offense is doing enough to keep it close.

Very proud of the effort today.... we keep improving.

Had Charlotte not had the screw up on special teams that game ended 7-3. I had Charlotte winning it but they definitely have come a long way from last year ... at least on defense

It's the same stuff we see every week though. Bad play calling and bad QB play.

I was impressed with freshman receiver rico Arnold though. Looks like he might be a good one.

And that play might not have even happened if the refs hadnt so badly botched the false start call on benny lemay turning a 3rd and 1 into a 3rd and 6

Agree about Rico...we also played without our best WR Victor Tucker today. As someone who has attended every home game (never missed one) and multiple away games every year......We are improving. Like Lambert or not. Probably time for a change but not at Def. Coordinator.

I dont think it is any coincidence that we showed improvement when brad was forces to get uncomfortable and fire his buddies and bring in people from outside his circles.

Spencer is going to have no trouble finding a job after this staff is let go. Hes done a great job. I think changing to a 4-3 has also helped a lot. Its hard to run 3-4 unless you have an elite DT, which we fortunately did in Larry but nobody else on the roster was replacing Larrys talent.

Tennessee had 192 total yards. Impressive defense. Charlotte should have won this game, why not?
