Starting ND QB Ian Book is out for the FSU game due to a multiple mid-section injuries suffered in the Northwestern game.

Rumor is that he suffered a cracked rib and a bruised kidney.....passing blood in his urine.

When will NC State start taking Wake Forest seriously enough?

Wake Forest has found a QB...great 2 min drill.

5-5 and a decent chance at a bowl game.

In the last 25 year we have 10 losses to Wake Forest and 6 to ECU. 6 of them ruined good seasons 1991 by ECU, 2003 WF, 2010 ECU, 2011 WF, 2015 ECU, 2016 WF, and 2018 WF. 4 of those losses killed 10 win seasons.

I have come to the conclusion that State can not prepare and get ready for either school no matter the stakes. One other thing, State does not win playing ball in a cold mist. We can play in a deluge, thunderstorm, or tropical rain, but not a fine cool mist. New have, and never will.

State also plays to the level of the competition. The killer instinct has not been there since Lou Holtz.

If it's cold and wet at Louisville we will drop that game. If we drop that game we will lose to UNC and or ECU. We must replace the DC - no choice on that.

I guess we are getting our second super bowl this season. 07-coffee3

No you won't. It probably will be cold, but that would mean you maybe only win by 3-4 TD's instead of 5-6 TD's.

You weren't alone. Only one player picked Wake to win this one. Shows how smart we are.

Clemson can clinch the Atlantic crown this week. Am I correct in saying that Pitt could do the same in the Coastal with a win over Va Tech?

The Panthers cannot clinch this weekend, but they can get close. A win guarantees at worst a 5-3 finish with the tiebreaker against everyone except Miami. Virginia is 4-2 & playing Liberty this weekend, so they could finish a game clear of Pittsburgh in an unlikely scenario.

If Pittsburgh beats Virginia Tech, the only way they don't win the Coastal is if:
1) Wake Forest beats Pittsburgh
2) Miami beats Pittsburgh
3) Virginia wins @ Georgia Tech and @ Virginia Tech
OR
Miami wins @ Georgia Tech and @ Virginia Tech

Got it. Thanks. So if Pitt and Georgia Tech both win this week, Virginia is the only team left with a chance to catch Pitt. And then only if Pitt loses both remaining games while Virginia wins both.

If Pitt represents the Coastal after getting absolutely drubbed by Penn State .... Clemson should hang a huge number in the ACC-CG for the sake of the conference.

The current Pitt team isnt remotely close to the Pitt team that got scraped up by Penn State. That would be a good game against Clemson. I think Pitt is the only team in the coastal that can give Clemson a good game if they keep playing like they have the last several weeks.

Is there any Coastal team that would not be an embarrassment if they won ACC CG?
