Rockets were picked 3rd last season and with no first place vote. WMU was picked to win the MAC West and the Tourney. So there's not much credence in the preseason poll.

Can't put too much credence in Pre-season Polls, but, Pre-season Polls for football seem to be correct with NIU leading the way as predicted (unfortunately). Is it true that Michigan MBB came to Toledo the other day and scrimmaged our Rockets?

Supposedly they played two periods. Score was reset after one. Both periods were very competitive and went down to the wire. Also said that Toledo played a shorter rotation than UM. That's according to some UM sources.

CBSSN has a few. I would assume ESPN+ would have the bulk of the Rocket slate.

I'm really hoping that this isn't another season where we play 7 guys most of the minutes, with an 8th getting a handful. We just seem to tire out. If there's good talent on the roster, then even with a couple redshirts we could still be playing a legitimate 8 or 9 guys, at least in the first half of games.

I agree. Last year Sanford averaged 34.6 minutes, Navigato 32.6, and M. Jackson 29.7 per game. I think with the depth of this team the Rockets will be better if Sanford and Navigato are averaging about 28 and M. Jackson 25 this season. Coach should be able to trust his bench much more than in the past.

With the number of timeouts and other stoppages in college basketball, I don't think fatigue is an issue for a well-conditioned athlete playing 32+ minutes a game. As a coach, I wouldn't limit my best players to 28 minutes unless foul trouble was a factor.

Good point. Much more stoppage in play now than there was even 10 years ago.

Darrington and Littleson are gonna get minutes. Those guys are good. If guys stay healthy it's a good 9 man rotation (minus a banger off the bench).
