Are you one of those California people that are still upset that Toyota moved their North American headquarters and 10,000 jobs from Torrance to Plano?

Those California people moving to Plano and elsewhere in Texas will ruin your state.

That would be interesting.

Is that Tampa or st pete (indoors)

This year the game has been moved to Raymond James Stadium in Tampa where the Bucs play. Great location and Cuban food nearby. Plus, it's only about 30 minutes from our house.

Sorry, not one of my favorite groups. And...there are a LOT of Californians moving here and they may actually try to ruin Texas. We need more people from Tennessee and Arkansas to move here. My neighborhood is full of OU fans..they have their flags up everywhere.

One Triple-Option offense per year is enough for this team.

Birmingham vs. utk
Want nothing to do with Legion Field
Didn’t UAB announce a new stadium is being built? Granted it will take 2yrs to build.

yes...first they built a new covered practice facility:

next Birmingham is building a new 50k football stadium next to the BJCC (a little closer than Legion Field)

[Image: 61cf1605-e479-4269-bf56-a36d989efb69-lar...4-6660.jpg]

but for the next couple years they'll still be at Legion Field.

Just stop. We're not going to x-out the date for the UTK basketball game (that is tough to schedule) because of the potential for 1 single bowl game. The fact that we recognize the conflict now, and avoid that bowl game is the best you can expect from your AD. That is if you are one who thinks we can't play basketball and football on the same day - which I'm not convinced of.

As someone who just escaped California, you have every right to be concerned. BY FAR the worst place I've ever lived. It's not even like the US anymore.

Quote:American Athletic Bowl Ties, Affiliations

Highest-ranked champion from the AAC, C-USA, MAC, MW & Sun Belt will play in a New Year’s Six bowl.

The American Athletic Conference doesn’t have a true pecking order. The bowl matchups are based on best possible games and geography.

– Armed Forces Bowl vs. Big 12
– Birmingham Bowl vs. SEC
– Cheribundi Tart Cherry Bowl vs. Conference USA
– Cure Bowl vs. Sun Belt
– Frisco Bowl vs. At-Large
– Gasparillia Bowl vs. Conference USA
– Military Bowl vs. ACC

The American Athletic has secondary partnerships with the AutoZone Liberty and Camping World Independence, to fill if the main affiliations can’t fill their slots.
So, that restated with dates in order and locations looks like:

ON A SATURDAY – Cure Bowl vs. Sun Belt December 15th, Orlando FL. 1:30 ET (Flight and a hotel minimum) CBSSN...$375k paid per team
ON A TUSEDAY – Cheribundi Tart Cherry (Boca Raton) Bowl vs. Conference USA December 18th, Boca Raton (Flight and a hotel minimum) ESPN...$500k per team
ON A WEDNESDAY – Frisco Bowl vs. At-Large December 19th, Frisco TX. 7:00 CT (Drive-able 7hrs 7min.) ESPN...$375k per team
ON A THURSDAY – Gasparillia Bowl vs. Conference USA December 20th, Tampa Bay, FL. 8:00 ET (Flight and a hotel minimum) ESPN...$550k per team
ON A SATURDAY – Birmingham Bowl vs. SEC December 22nd, Birmingham AL. 11:00 CT (Drive-able 3hrs 49min.) ESPN...$825k per team
ON A SATURDAY – Armed Forces Bowl vs. Big 12 December 22nd, Fort Worth TX. 2:30 CT (Drive-able 7hrs 20min.) ESPN...$450k per team
ON A SATUDAY - Peach Bowl, Atlanta, Noon ET, Yeah, right... ESPN...$2M per team
ON A MONDAY (NYE) – Military Bowl vs. ACC December 31st, Annapolis MD. Noon ET (Flight and a hotel minimum) ESPN...$1M per team

Added payouts to your post above.

Also...Independence, Shreveport, 12/27 Thursday...$600k per team
Liberty, Memphis, 12/31 Monday...$2M per team

Based on the payout, date, and drive, I vote for:

ON A SATURDAY – Birmingham Bowl vs. SEC December 22nd, Birmingham AL. 11:00 CT (Drive-able 3hrs 49min.) ESPN...$825k per team

Even if the stadium collapses around us...

Although GA Tech would run for 300 yards against us.
