Id feel better about EMU if they had a true QB of their offense. They just seem to be missing that prototypical point guard. They also have the most challenging conference schedule.

Must not have watched Paul Jackson play over the last month of the season. He averaged 15 ppg and had a 5/2 assist-to-turnover ratio in our last 8 MAC games (tournament included), where we went 7-1. He's probably the best point guard Murphy has ever had, even if he isn't a "prototypical" one.

I definitely agree about the schedule, though. It's going to be a tough one.

I'd be shocked if they missed a single MAC game. The made off with the equivalent of $17 each at the Walmart self checkout. An ordinance violation in DeKalb. They will pay a fine and be done with it. Totally dumb move but not the end of the world and far from the dumbest thing a college student ever did.

German also dealing with an accusation of throwing eggs at someone. We will know more about it soon.

Murphy should have been on the hot seat a long, long time ago. EMU has been "loaded" for several years now.

Not officially the whole season but that seems likely. At best late in the conference schedule.

I think Miami is underrated in all these rankings. We ended up with the 8 seed last year and defeated Ohio to advance to Cleveland, and then lost to Toledo in a game which went down to the wire. Miami had 6 first year D-1 players last year, 4 freshmen and 2 jucos, and by the end of the year they were the top 6 players in terms of minutes. Surely those guys should be improved in their second year in D-1. We also return two guys ( Harouna and Jovic) who sat out last year who have plenty of starting experience under our previous head coach. We have a 6-8 transfer from Cal Poly who started there and 3 freshmen, one of whom was runner up for Mr. Basketball in Indiana. Yet all these projections show us dropping in the MAC standings. I do not think that will happen.

I think Miami will be the 2nd best team in the East...
