I have no inside knowledge whatsoever but am confident we will put in a competitive bid for a home game.

One of the latest brackets I saw had us playing James Madison in the first round. There is no way we are outbidding them.

McNeese was 9-2 in the Southland last year and got left home because they beat two teams with a winning record and one of those was 6-5, plus they played a non-D1. We are 8-2 with a non-D1 win and have beaten one team with a winning record (UTC). We've played a lackluster schedule and our conference wins are by a combined 16 points.

Would I be disappointed if we didn't get in at 8-3? Absolutely. Would I be surprised? No.

Bucs are living the dream right now. Let us help them get to the maximum that they can obtain this year! Unthinkable two months ago no matter what.

Would not JMU get a bye for the first round?

JMU is 4-2 in the CAA (6-3 Overall). Below Elon, Maine and Delaware. Tied with Stony Brook and Towson. So right now they are just a bubble team, but still a very good bubble team. I sure wouldn't want to play them in the 1st round.

JMU 6-3 lost again last week at New Hampshire! They are not in a position to win an automatic bid. Delaware looks to win CAA

So of the 16 teams in the opening round all you have to have is one of the top 8 bids to get a home game?

It is my understanding the matchups are set first emphasizing geography. Then bids are taken. But I may be wrong.

In their case they had a 7-2 conference record, which put them in a 3rd place tie with Nicholls State. Sam Houston has an 8-1 record, while Central Arkansas had a 9-0 record.
