So has this ESPN employee been fired for putting out this tweet? I mean isn't this a value statement about AAC's drawing capability.

I can't remember Kickoff weekend, but was that initial game up against an NFL game? Not sure that it was. Would love to see the number of actual viewers.

UCF vs UConn kickoff thursday was not on the ESPN channel. It was on 2/u/news/8theocho

It’ll never be the same status as the UCF-USF rivalry (maybe not even the ConFLiCT) but this has been a showcase game with the East Division at stake.

Does Temple have even a tenuous connection to the space program that we can play up? We could make it the annual sPAceFLight Showdown. We got the ball rolling on that last night. Your turn next year. We just need someone to make a trophy like the MTV Moon Man.

Not sure about space, but they have the field of diamonds reference. They could easily do some uniforms that would look slick in a night game with that.

Conference did pretty good this year spreading weeknight home games out among the teams. But it would be better for attendance if we required that only one home game per team be moved and suggest dates for each school then let the tv pick the game. Shouldn't be too hard to do for conference games which is 90% of the week night games anyway.

The kickoff weekend reference was not to UCF's 30 Aug game but to the comparisin.
NW-Purdue on ESPN got a 1.0 / 1.741 million viewers in final ratings - this was NOT up against an NFL game as UCF Temple was

and even if it they had nfl competition and still beat us, ESPN pays them like 10x more to air their games. if the big 10 is so valuable anyone of their games should destroy us.

Why should they have beat Buffalo? Buffalo is 8-1.

Heck Temple is lucky they only lost by 7. They could've easily lost by 21 if not for a couple fluky TDs.

Temple had a Hail Mary TD and a blocked punt TD.
