That would be nice and could change the entire outlook on next season if both bigs can play anywhere close to their recruiting ratings. Get the freshmen some experience (maybe one redshirts) and we may be on to something.

Just curious of you have any examples of this?

Either way, if JJ lands this guy, I’m inclined to let him stick around to see what he does with him. I imagine he’d be our best 4 year recruit since Dahi? This is an exciting possibility.

I don't think we would have a scholarship available for another kid unless someone left.

Would he be here for 4 years? He redshirted once, and now has to sit a year. I'd guess he'd only have 3. Am I wrong about this?

I don't know if he got a waiver or not. I would guess 3 years, but 4 is possible. Also, I guess he could decide to not have a scholarship this year, which would open a spot; but that seems unlikely. (but really have no clue)

ODU offered but I'm guessing no visit (you'd think a top-20 center coming to campus, we'd all remember vividly)

I know Dickens came to at least a game or two with Cam Bacote when they were in high school watching Aaron. But if he took an official visit or not, I have no clue.

Anthony Mack of U of Miami has not been cleared yet but UM believes he will get the ok to play. Transferred from Wyoming after sitting out. There are a few others but I can't remember the players right off.

That's the ACC (Conference of UNC).

We're ODU (School of Donte Hill).

But we'll see.

Mack was a medical redshirt so I don't know if that matters.

And boom, we get another 7 footer!

If he can't play this year he'll have 3 years of eligibility. However, ODU is applying for a waiver for immediate eligibility. Since he redshirted his freshman year and if granted the waiver he should have 4 years of eligibility.

I for one am quite proud that we are the School of Donte Hill. Donte Hill > Chapel Hill.

Absolutely. My post was a jab at how the NCAA handles things.

Mack is a medical redshirt. NCAA is more willing to grant those exceptions.
