In a perfect world Weigers lights them up, EMU gets a big lead, Grissom or Steibling get some PT, and we all go away happy.

Another BSU type of game.

I like that scenario.........with no rain!

As to your previous question about RB's, I think our depth chart next year is Turner, Parker & Mackey, in no particular order. Mackey is the real deal, and has the size to be the 'power' back out of those 3.

Anybody else notice Dooley has disappeared since early in the season? Believe they shut him down to preserve his redshirt because he's going to be a key piece going forward. They were using him as a big blocking TE, but Odukoya finally came back, so that allowed them to shut down Dooley I think.

Boone if he signs could have an immediate impact

Wouldn't doubt it. Has a nice combination of size/speed/skills. Get him his 4 games and redshirt. If he's great, let the kid play and forget the redshirt.

I have no particular reason or inside information, but would like to see what Hairston and Bell can offer. They are both on the smallish side but maybe quick.

That truly makes great sense.

Anyone heard anything on injuries? Leatiota went down against BSU and didn't play against Army. Will he be back?

Is Gunnar Oakes okay after going down against Army?

Not sure on either. Luckily Nielsen was back this week because we're in trouble at RT if he goes down. We have enough quality guys with experience to cover for Leatiota.

34 TOTAL rushing yards against Army...........and 16 of those were those 2 Wiegers QB draws.

Without Glass, basically the only time we can run the ball is against teams with very bad front 7's.

Ohio will smack WMU. No way that WMU defense stops the Ohio run game.

Big concern with CMU is they lead the MAC in pass defense. If we're without Glass, with no run game, we're playing right into their only real strength.

If that's the scenario, could be a 13-10, 17-13 type game. Just hope we don't embarrass ourselves by losing at home to a 1-8 team.

Our very realistic goal at this point should be to finish the season on a 4 game win streak with Creighton's first bowl win.

I had the same concern, but CMU isn't all that great at stopping the run. 9th in conference, and probably would be about the same/behind us statistically if we didn't play Army.

Hopefully we can exploit it and get a decent run-game from the offense.

I was thinking the same.

We have trouble with teams which can really stop the run, but I'm not sure that is CMU.

CMU sounds like the type of team we can handle.

I'm onboard with everything you said. NOBODY in Ypsilanti wants to be CMU's first FBS win this year.

Interesting to watch, with the new 4 game redshirt rule, will we see Jackson at all? I doubt Glass is able to play game-speed.

CMU is not that team. We ran all over those guys and they couldn't do anything about it. I'm not sure how their pass defense is as we only had to attempt 9 passes in our 35-10 rout. You'll be just fine, they're horrible.

Ohio will certainly score, but they have a pass defense that is ranked in the 120's. I don't think they'll be able to stop our pass game, and if they try, we'll run all over them.

It's going to be a very high scoring game this thursday night.

Would love to see it, but with Grissom & Stiebeling having already played, I'd be shocked if Jackson strolls out there. Against Ball State, Creighton even put Hutchinson in for the last couple plays instead of Grissom or Jackson.

If this is going to come down to a Grissom/Jackson backup QB battle next year, this new redshirt rule would be the perfect opportunity to get both guys some real reps to see how they perform under the bright lights. The schedule has set up perfectly for it as well. (This all assuming that Glass isn't 100% or doesn't come back at all)

Again, most likely wishful thinking, given the odds of us actually leading these teams by 2+ TD's in the second half of these games.

Bonamego had a charmed season there last year. He had a one year lease QB and won every close game they played. They were not very good and that has been exposed in their bowl game as well as this season. They have, however, been the preferred landing spot for quite a few U-M transfers so I expect a lot more from them next year.
