RE: Man, it sure looks like
Tony Franklin keeps calling QB draws for Brent Stockstill. By the time we get to UAB we will probably be playing our 3rd string QB. The kid that played the FIU game and is #2 is going to redshirt.

It would be fun to see a healthy Brent playing against UAB's defense, but Brent has already taken more sacks through eight games than he has at any point in his career including his freshman year when he threw over 400 pass attempts. He still hasn't gotten to 300 yet this year.

Oh and don't forget we don't really have all that many receivers that can get open. Plus, we can't run the ball. I said it the week leading up to the FIU game. There is always someone better than us. Always someone we finish second to at least. Everyone said it was FAU. Then we beat Marshall and we are in. Nope. It's FIU. It's always the one team we find a way to lose to.

As for UAB it's their year. It's like a semi-pro team out there. They have like 40 players who are older than Brent. Hell, their QB enrolled at MT the same time as Brent.

We are going to lose on purpose because we don't like you.

LOL WTH does that have anything to do with it? If y'all beat FIU, you win the east if you win out. FIU has to drop 2 for us to win it. It's looking good for Marshall.

Good God, does nobody understand the tie-breaker? No, if we beat FIU you all win the east based on your win over UAB assuming you win this out as well.

I understand the tiebreaker but the odds are that we lose to UAB and if that happens, then Marshall wins it. FAU has to beat FIU for it to help us. Then FIU would lose 2. However, if we lose to UAB and Marshall beats FIU, Marshall plays for the trophy. A lot to play for. Easy on the caffeine there buddy.

From a UAB point of view.
*UTSA had a bye last week and we are a little beat up
*USM has been a thorn for us the first 10 years in C-UAB. They are our most consistent rival. We recruit a lot of the same semi pro players
*TAM will be a challenge
*Playing at MTSU after playing at TAM will be hard and we lost the last time we played at MTSU.
*Home field is vital for us if we make it to the C-UAB Championship game.
As a fan that had there team taken from them for 2 years. The 2015 team may have been as good as this one. To watch players and Power 5 schools having a impact. We are humbled to have a team and grateful for the chance to play you.

What UAB has done is very impressive for sure. I obviously hope you guys beat MTSU as Marshall would have a shot if we found a way to win out (very doubtful I know.)

Marshall is lethal right now. I think it's very likely you'll win out. UAB right now is the best in the conference. AJ will want to show out in the boro vs. his old team against the QB he was passed up for. Not a good sign for us.

If Middle beats WKU and UTEP and Marshall knocks off FIU then I think the UAB game can go either way. With all the injuries Brent has had throughout his career, I'm sure he would hold nothing back trying to win a conference championship in his final year... UAB will be equally motivated, however, so it could end up being a classic. Lot of football between now and then though.

Yep. Teams tend to get beat up by that last game.

I could see us losing to WKU or at UTEP, prior to the UAB game. Since the SeMo and McNeese losses, I take nothing for granted any more.

If Brent is healthy for UAB, then I think we play toe-to-toe with them. He missed the UAB game last season, a narrow loss.
