CC's Hudson To Transfer From UM
James Hudson, a former 4 star recruit from Toledo Central Catholic, will transfer from Michigan. He was a DE in high school, but was moved to OL at Michigan where he didn't win either starting OT spot. He would have two, or possibly three years to play at his new school. UT offered him as a high school senior.

I keep envisioning Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz clicking her heels together and saying "There's no place like home" Maybe he will enroll at UT? He would be our second CC LB/OL 4 Star Recruit counting Greene.

Most of his wardrobe would pass. It'd be a good fit. I could see him trying to get to Cinci through, with Warren.

If he did come to UT wouldn't count on a waiver like Koback got. Ann Arbor is too close.

He would have to sit out next year with 3 years of eligibility.

2 years...he's a RS Frosh this season. He'd have his RS Jr and RS Sr years after the cooling off.

Also, relevant...

FWIW, he has been pretty well connected to a lot of high profile players' families through the years.

So could be said about anyone. You just throwing that out there or have some information he wouldn't be? He seems to be getting good exposure and good stats at Cinci.

Whoa, let's not read too much into this. It seems the transfer rules are becoming more flexible for football student-athletes. Kids are less likely of being held captive to a football program they committed to when they were 16 or 17 years old.

Michael could transfer as well... or declare early for the NFL draft (i.e. Ola Adeniyi)

I'm not quite sure Michael Warren could declare for The NFL? He played as a true Freshman and is not a RS Sophomore. I guess I really don't know the rules. Maybe he should transfer to Michigan. They sure could use him.

Warren wouldn't be eligible to declare until after next season, and even the most optimistic Bearcat fan wouldnt think he's NFL ready at the moment. Great college RB? Sure as hell...but he doesn't have the speed needed at this point in time.

No idea how...he already burned his redshirt, so his cool-off year would take a year of eligibility away, leaving two more years out of five.

Maybe they are thinking he will get a hardship

If he doesn't transfer back home and transfers farther than he's at now, what would the basis be on. Koback came back home. He has three years of eligibility if he doesn't need to RS. This should be interesting with all the new changes to transfer rules that have come and will come about.

Isn't Koback only a RS freshman this year? Seems he gets 4 years of eligibility at UT under the hardship transfer - since he used his redshirt last year at Kentucky.

I really like what Koback has done so far. It’s great we have him four years

That's what I was wondering. I can understand if he doesn't qualify for a hardship transfer since Ann Arbor is 45 miles away, but UT and BGSU are the only two schools closer to home.
