Houston was in the Southwest Conference when Ware was there. P5 didn't exist, but they were a power conference.

Yeah there is no way to dismiss a win in Provo, the defense is just unbelievable. To play at this level after all this, after the massive offensive ineptitude. It really is mind numbing they could deliver this effort yet again.

BYU, like Navy, San Diego State, Houston, S Florida, Boise, etc -- is a "power" G5 OOC. However, aside from Boise or Houston, any special MAC flag-flying mid-season should depend on how well they're doing that year, as a team like BYU or S Florida aren't year-in-year-out top-G5s.

I mean, if BYU was 2-4 going into this, it'd be no better than beating Old Dominion.
