I know Childers taken a lot of heat for the lack of offense, but the receivers failed on some critical plays. Harmiston and Tears both dropped easy ones on third down, and there was that TD pass that hit the receiver in the face mask. It was a great throw.

Childers has improved, and seems more confident. Let's hope that the improvement continues, and we have some skill players step up.

At least on the TD pass the WR was getting hit by the defender so that was tougher.

On another note, what was the 2-play Thompson appearance about?

Good question; I was wondering the same thing. It appeared to be just to give Childers a break/blow

The announcers said they thought it was a pre-planned option, but those guys sounded like BYU fans.
They were critical of the NIU receivers for the drops, had to agree.

41-40 IS A BIG DIFFERENCE ANY TEAM SCORING 40 POINTS IS GOING TO WIN SOME GAMES WE HAVE NO OFFENSE TWO WEEKS TO PREPARE AND WE SCORE 7 POINTS HE HAS NOT IMPROVED THE WINS WE HAVE HAVE COME AGAINST LOSING TEAMS WHO ALSO CANT PUT POINTS ON THE BOARD

Since your post is in all caps it must be right! LOL

Childers has improved. At the beginning of the year he could not hit a long pas; in the last 2 games he has put the ball on the money on long passes several times, most of which were dropped, including the one yesterday that hit our receiver in the face mask. Has he improved as much as we had hoped? No, but he has shown improvement and he does look more confident.

While our record against winning teams has been very poor, Ohio is 5-3 and averages 38 points per game, and BYU is 4-4 against a tough schedule and averages 23 points a game. While I have been critical of our record against teams with winning records, your statement that our wins have come against losing teams that also cannot put points on the board is simply not accurate. While I would love our team to get more yards and score more points as much as anyone, give some credit to how hard and with heart our guys have played this year.

For the record, any team who only allows 6 is also going to win a lot of games

ANY TEAM GIVING UP 40 IS GOING TO LOSE SOME GAMES, MEANS THERE IS NO DEFENSE. BYU HAS A WINNING RECORD AND PUT UP 49 AGAINST HAWAII.
IF YOU SCORE MORE POINT THAN THE OTHER TEAM, YOU WIN. QUITE SIMPLE.

For beating a 4-4 team by 1 point. I hope not.
Wisconsin wished they would hav beat them- and that was at home. Give the team some credit. Unbelievable the negative response after a huge win. WTF

+1

This defense deserves a ton of credit. a TON!

The team had 2 weeks off. Is it so bad to expect more than 200 yards and 7 points by the offense?

What’s it like going through life this miserable all the time?
