Let's say GS beats APP, Troy beats GS, and APP beats Troy. All three teams are have one conference loss. Who goes to the title game? I'm guessing 9-3 Troy is out, and GS (10-2) goes to the title game because they beat APP (10-2)?

But it’s the computers going into the final weekend and the team must win the last game; I would think this benefits GS over Troy in that instance with GS having App included.

Not quite. The only poll that they won't use the final weekend rankings on is the College Football Playoff rankings. (Because CFP won't release till like the Monday after or something) Since we're likely not going to have a top 25 team in that scenario (Involves Southern losing obviously) than it drops to tiebreak 7


If none of the ranked teams win on the final weekend of the Conference regular season, a composite average of selected computer rankings (Anderson & Hester, Billingsley, Colley and Wolfe) that include all games on the final weekend of the Conference regular season, will be used to determine the Division Champion;


The only way the "eligible teams must win on the last weekend rule" comes into effect is if we have teams in the CFP top 25. We're not, so scratch anything about that out entirely.

Does the Sun Belt Champion get its choice of what bowl game it plays in? That's how it works in CUSA.

No as of now bowls get to pick who they want, whether it’s a 11-1 Georgia southern or 6-6 LaLa (sorry but Cajuns but it’s rivalry day!)

One thing I give props to CUSA is allowing champs to pick their bowl destination: great incentive for winning conference and helps to Mix things up when it comes to bowl selection time

No, but we don't have any far flung bowls that teams could possibly have to travel to (Outside of Arizona, but we're likely replacing them with Myrtle Beach next cycle) either.

Truth is, that's its not really a major issue here. Outside of 2016, when App and AState shared the title, and ULL and Troy took NOLA and Mobile respectively.

With the Championship game in play, the understanding is that the by laws guarantee both Championship game participants bowls now.
