The only thing that would concern me if I were a UTSA fan is the possibility of the Chargers moving to town. Apparently their ownership is not so pumped about LA as they were when they first bolted San Diego. I've heard San Antonio and St. Louis being mentioned as potential destinations if they decide to scrap the LA debacle.
No concerns. We've (San Antonio) been played on the NFL team game for decades. Not happening With Dallas and Houston controlling expansion in this market. I see a stadium in the 2030s if ever (with expansion of downtown campus, one could argue the Alamodome is on campus in a decade or so).

IPF and general facilities first. Baseball next or simultaneously along with tennis (prep for basketball space). Then the basketball facility. At least that is my opinion. Overlap will probably occur but this could all happen in the next 6 years.

Thank you for doing a better job than me in explaining why we should do a baseball facility before basketball/volleyball. A baseball stadium is a 1/4 to a 1/3 the price of a new basketball/volleyball venue. It can be done in conjunction with another update and still get to the B/V venue in the 6 year time-frame. It's a lot cheaper.

San Antonio has been used so many times as the bait for NFL teams nobody here believes it anymore. It gets old after a while. The day I believe it is the day they sell a ticket for it, until then, the NFL will not be in SA.

I grew up in a city too, that got played by the NFL, and now that there's one 3 hours down the road, it will obviously not ever happen. So I understand what you mean by that. The last time Memphis was in the running for a team, they gave it to Jacksonville instead. We see how that one is turning out. They have more tarps in that stadium than MTSU, UAB and Rice combined.

Yes, it's 1/3 to 1/4 the cost of a new basketball arena, but again, the basketball arena serves 3 sports (men's and women's basketball, and volleyball), not one, so the cost value is proportional. In addition, as I also said, it could be used for UTSA graduations, saving us more money, and can be used for a variety of other on-campus activities.

Aside from that, we've had basketball since 1981, and baseball since 1992, so basketball should have seniority. Our basketball program, though it struggled for a couple decades before Coach Henson arrived, has historically also been more successful than our baseball program with an all-time winning percentage of .527 versus baseball's .496.
