I'm excited to see how much these numbers improve in 2018.

UTEP is very impressive to me. Can't wait to see how you do once you start winning again.

ODU- Any chance this averages goes up or down? Very impressive numbers.

MTSU- Guessing this will most likely go down this year?

Marshall- I think Marshall has an increase. I'm hoping we average closer to 6,500 this year but I definitely think we will crack 6,000 for sure.

WKU- Surprised your average was so low for the season. No doubt that will increase this year. You all will probably average 5-6k.

Charlotte is also solid considering how down you have been lately. I think that goes up this year with new blood.

UAB- Will yours go up or down? I have no idea but its pretty solid for the seasons you've had last few years.

Everyone else, any chance your attendance goes up? I figure North Texas will?

FIU, UTSA, FAU...WHAT THE HECK guys? WOW. Are there any plans to increase the attendance or anything? That's just crazy.

I’d say we’ll average close to 6500. Tix sales are going very well.

That looks better for wku. 5400 avg. I knew there was no way he was right on under4k for the year. We will probably be up to 6500 for the year this year.

Our attendance is ghana be garbage this year. we ghana suck.

I was with you. I watched some of your games towards of the season and the place was rocking. I was so confused too lol.

The East has some pretty solid basketball attendance outside of FIU and FAU.

Ya man I was like WHAAAAAAA! Just wait till we have a full student section rocking every time.

We ( UTSA) need a new arena. Ours is so bad. Hopefully with our new athletic complex coming they will incorporate a new arena. Plus we should be a hell of a lot better this year

I think Marshall and WKU can both average over 6,000 this year. I think ODU will maintain. Question is, can UTEP and MTSU both keep up their average attendance?

It would be pretty dang legit to have 5 teams averaging over 6k per game.


This is why CUSA is so much better than the Sun Belt/MAC overall.

ODU's will go up since this year our old CAA rivals are home (VCU, W&M, JMU) and were all away games last year.

The most diehard of ODU fans appear to have pulled out of season tickets due to the NCAAT drought, but I believe they are in the minority.

If we do well I think our attendance will go up (thanks Cpt Obvious) but I also think the pods are going to be real boosters for those of us in the top pod (really hoping ODU makes it in the top) because those games at the end of the season will indicate we are doing well and we will playing against other top teams, therefore sellouts or close to it. That should be the case for all the schools in the top pods, so I think the pod system will increase attendance as a whole for the conference.

Charlotte and UTEP are sleeping giants for attendance. Charlotte just needs to get its act together and the fan support will be there. UTEP getting 6k+ or whatever it is during one of their worst years speaks volumes of the fan support they have. When they are good they will be 8k+ easily.

Happy to see WKU has the early near-sellout for season tickets. That place will be rocking all year.

Not sure how MTSU will fare this season, depends on what kind of fans they have. That's not a dig on anyone here. Are they like UTEP, where the fans will support the team even when they will be down?

Well thats great to hear about ODU getting the old rivals at home.

I didn't even think about the pods helping attendance. It might not effect the bottom teams one way or another but it should def help the top teams out.

This is a much better basketball conference than we get credit for. Need to start getting minimum of 2 NCCAT bids and at least 2 NIT bids.

Agree. Charlotte and UTEP are very impressive. Can't wait til they get their basketball programs back on track. It's going to be huge for our conference.

Last year's ODU home OOC schedule was awful. Nothing moving the needle. This year with VCU, W&M and JMU in town, we should see a considerable jump early. But we need to win to maintain. Should be over 6k yet again but could hit 7k if we field a winner.

ODU will maintain...it wont get any worse. If we can start to string together some wins early that average should bump up to around 6600-6800. If we go on a real tear and have a great season you can expect mid 7K figures.

Our attendance was horrible last season in the non. conference schedule...We had a lot of early games vs. the likes of Nicholas St., KY Wesleyan last season. This year we have St. Mary's, Wisconsin..... After Jan. and when students were back our attendance took off once everyone knew how good we were.....

Will be interesting to see this season our attendance listed each game. According to WKU's ticket office we have less than a 100 season tickets remaining. So if that's the case we will average 7300+ regardless of who is there because the seats are all bought for. I guess we will see if its actual butts in seats or season tickets sold for basketball. Students I am not sure? Maybe that is an actual count but technically we have just about ever seat already taken care of for this upcoming season...
