RE: 2017 CUSA Men's Basketball Average Attendance
Our basketball program actually makes money unlike the football team that runs at a deficit. Last figures available UTEP made double the amount of revenue from basketball ticket sales compared to football.

I do not mean this to be mean but looking at your attendance at UTSA I can definitely see where you are coming from. I'm not sure what kind of facilities you have or anything about your program, but I feel you are truly underestimating how much money a good basketball program can make.

Wait, what? Courtside seats are $658 per ticket?! Two courtside tickets at ODU will run you $5,000 and require a minimum athletic donation of $7,500.

Same at WKU...I don't know the exact numbers. But court side seats are going to run you a few thousand dollars for sure not to mention the donation to the HAF required.

Then the SKY Box seats which are mostly bought by local companies run I believe $30,000 for the season with a minimum of a 4 year contract. There are 16 luxury boxes.

Yep, suites start at $24,500 and it's a 3 year contract

For the first section of seats at diddle it’s an 850 donation on top of tickets. It’s crazy

UTEP is very impressive to me. Can't wait to see how you do once you start winning again.

ODU- Any chance this averages goes up or down? Very impressive numbers.

MTSU- Guessing this will most likely go down this year?

Marshall- I think Marshall has an increase. I'm hoping we average closer to 6,500 this year but I definitely think we will crack 6,000 for sure.

WKU- Surprised your average was so low for the season. No doubt that will increase this year. You all will probably average 5-6k.

Charlotte is also solid considering how down you have been lately. I think that goes up this year with new blood.

UAB- Will yours go up or down? I have no idea but its pretty solid for the seasons you've had last few years.

Everyone else, any chance your attendance goes up? I figure North Texas will?

FIU, UTSA, FAU...WHAT THE HECK guys? WOW. Are there any plans to increase the attendance or anything? That's just crazy.
Ours is low atm because our past couple seasons haven't been good under Ehsan. Hopefully we improve. But yeah we are about 3500 tickets average when bad and 4500-5000 when good. I'd really like to see UAB get up to 6,000-7,000 average bbal attendance as that would really lift our athletic program. These past 2 seasons are the worst seasons by RPI in UAB history though

RE: 2017 CUSA Men's Basketball Average Attendance
UTSA has a plan to build a major 110k sqft athletic complex hopefully it will include a new basketball arena. We actually have a pretty good team this year, our best player Jackson got hurt last year. But once we get our complex built we should see an increase. We also just got a bunch of building and acrerage approved to build on in the last week which we are going to use to build educational buildings a long with a ton of dorms so our football attendace will go up as well since it's like 1-1.5 miles from the dome & a long with the Riverwalk there's a new hot spot called the Pearl that's filled with bars , that are rooftop bars, upscale bars, and a lot of cool stuff. Plus they have now made it very easy to get from DT area to the dome. But you should start hearing more about our future builds for athletics very soon. They are also making a lot of changes to the Original Main campus & the newer DT campus. Increasing thevschool attendance to 50k. About 20k more over the next 5 years. The city is growing so fast UTSA is on a lot of people's minds as far as expansion & growing it.

Thanks. Was just curious because ODU doesn't have a set price for donations. We donate and get ranked and then you get your seat selection. There are perks you can qualify for like VIP, big blue room and club level. But it's interesting to see how different each school markets/prices their tickets.

$850 seems like a good deal, FWIW. You can't get that close at ODU at that donation level, unless you sit in the student section.

Plus they created a new section across from visitors on the floor with more premium seating and moved students up higher above the rails...

The donation level is the same thing here. It’s just accumulated over your lifetime. So the ones who have given the most get to choose better seats, get access to stuff etc. so I guess price of first few rows is 1200 a ticket.

RE: 2017 CUSA Men's Basketball Average Attendance
Some of ya’ll keep saying $xxx.xx amount PER TICKET.

NO. Per seat. For the season. That’s where dude’s maths went off the chart earlier. The amount for the right to buy a certain section seat is set at whatever HAF and university have agreed on. Then you pay for the actual SEASON’S tickets on top of that.

I know it’s semantics but.

Very interested to see what Stans gets out of this big push. I’m still interested to see what their definition is of sold out season tickets. Are they telling me that nobody can walk up to any game this year and say “I’d like to purchase 1 of best available”?

“Sorry....you’re too late....you’ve killed them all....I mean there are no tickets for sale”

So they’re saying every single game is SOLD OUT? I just find that hard to believe. I hope it’s true. And nobody has worked harder than Stansbury. He’s like the love child of some J-Dubs and Mormons only he’s not selling his personal saviour. His line is “You better get your tickets”

There will be tickets sold because some companies buy up season tickets and donate them back to Western to resell. Every seat in the section I sit is is sold out and its been that way for 4 years. But there's some visiting fans that sit behind us and down from us in a few games.

All it means is they sold out of tickets they reserved for season tickets. You're going to get visiting teams and students that don't use their full allotment, that will make tickets available for walkup. And I'm sure WKU has some tickets they set aside for single game sales.
