Forbes Facebook Chat
I saw on Twitter that Coach Forbes is taking part in a Facebook Live Q&A about the upcoming season at 6pm on Thursday. I like how Coach Forbes interacts with the fanbase through the use of social media. Log in on Thursday night and ask him your questions.

RE: Forbes Facebook Chat
I missed it, Thursday is a pickin' night. Is the discussion something that can be accessed or replayed? If so how?

If not, can someone list key Forbes points for those of us who missed it?

Yep, if you have a Facebook account you can watch a recording of the discussion on the ETSU Athletics Facebook page. As of now, it is the second post from the top.

RE: Forbes Facebook Chat
A couple of things that Forbes mentioned in the chat, some of them I mentioned in another thread, but which should probably go here:

It's kind of remarkable that the coaches picked Jeromy and Tray as all conference without ever having seen them play. They are respecting ETSU's eye for talent. Also that the coaches would pick more ETSU guys than guys from the 2 teams rated higher, UNCG and Wofford. Forbes would have included Demetrius Troy of UNCG, who really hurt us in the tournament with 13 points on terrific shooting.

Forbes points out that the Bucs have finished higher than rated in the Coaches' Poll every year that he's been here so far:

1st year picked 4th, finished 2nd
2nd year picked 2nd, finished 1st
3rd year picked 4th, finished 2nd

Forbes message on handling the UNCG press this year: it's more a matter of personnel than strategy. 2 years ago we had shooters like T.J. and A.J. to put in the corner and big guys like Desonta and Tevin who could see over the top and pass well. Last year we didn't have as many shooters to spread the floor and were smaller up top so it was harder to pass over. Also folks did not make the extra pass. With James Dickey coming over to block shots, a man should be open, and we didn't take advantage of that enough.

My own observation: Wofford's combination of sharp, quick passing and 3 point bombing did pretty well against the UNCG press in the tournament.

This year's personnel, especially with much better shooting and more size, should be able to handle it better.

Injuries. According to Forbes, Bo and Patrick will have to be managed this year. Both situations seem to be chronic, but won't prevent them from playing. If I understand him correctly. Octavion is working back from another concussion. Is this something that he is prone to, having missed time to a severe concussion last year?
