In fact, the nation’s most violent street gang, Mara Salvatrucha (MS-13), was energized by the barrage of UACs. The Texas Department of Public Safety even issued a report documenting how the MS-13 emerged as a top tier gang in the state thanks to the influx of illegal alien gang members that came with the UACs. At the time more than 60,000 UACs—many with criminal histories—had stormed into the U.S. in a matter of months. Tens of thousands more eventually made it north.

Guatemala has long been known as a major smuggling corridor for foreigners from African and Asian countries making their way into the U.S. Last year Guatemala’s largest paper, Prensa Libra, published an in-depth piece on the inner workings of an international human smuggling network that moves migrants from Afghanistan, Pakistan, India, Nepal and Bangladesh to the U.S. Individuals are sent to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates then flown to Brazil before heading to Colombia. Once in South America, the migrants are transported to Panama before moving on to Costa Rica then a central point on Guatemala. One Spanish news report refers to Guatemala as a human smuggling paradise because it’s so easy to get fake passports. A few years ago, the head of Guatemala’s passport division got arrested for selling fake passports to a group of Colombians, according to a government announcement.

All this makes ISIS terrorists operating in Guatemala incredibly alarming. President Jimmy Morales confirmed it during a recent security conference attended by Vice President Mike Pence and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo as well as the presidents of Honduras and El Salvador and other Latin American dignitaries. Morales said that his administration has captured “close to 100 persons completely involved with terrorists, with ISIS and we have not only detained them within our territory, but they have been deported to their country of origin.” Several of the terrorists were Syrians caught with fake documents, according to Guatemala’s head of intelligence. At the same event, President Morales also revealed that Guatemalan authorities captured more than 1,000 gangbangers, including members of the MS-13.

This statement can easily be applied to the Democrats - and you know it.

Regardless of whether there are terrorists, criminals and/or gangbangers in the caravan - the sheer volume of people making the trek is bad for American workers and gov't spending. Many of them will be a drain on the American taxpayers. Even those who will work - much of their money will be sent back to Honduras - so it's not like we even get the full benefit of them being here.

And if this caravan gets into our country successfully despite the law breaking they've done to get to this point - then multiply their numbers by 1000 - hell maybe 10K because it will only inspire many, many more to make the journey to the porous southern U.S. border.

This type of unchecked immigration is not good for any country. The fact that there are elected politicians who will welcome these - and many more like them - people with open arms are a cancer to our country. I'm all for immigration but these immigrants need to check certain boxes before they should be allowed into our country. They don't have to check ALL the boxes; however, they should be able to check enough to make them favorable candidates.

1) They should be bringing some actual assets with them so that they are not a drain on our gov't services.

2) They should have some skills that will be desirable to our economy today and into the future.

3) They should be willing to turn their back on their old country and embrace America lock, stock and barrel.

4) They should love American and believe in everything that it values.

5) They should have a strong respect for our laws - since we're a nation built on laws - even when it comes to immigration.

You're going to get part of the facts here and a different part of the facts elsewhere. You may get the truth, and you may get nothing but the truth, but you're not going to get the whole truth from any of them.
