Potential College Football Double Header
If Bill Clark’s Birmingham Blazers continue their mystical run, Legion Field will be booked for both the CUSA Championship (1230) and SWAC Championship (TBD) on 12/1 - a fitting celebration to the Old Grey Lady’s history.

Feels like turning back the clock to the Golden Age of MLB DH’ers. When was the last time a venue hosted a CFB double header with at least 1 FBS game?

If this plays outs should get an amazing crowd for both!

I think there's been a MAC school that played a game in a NFL stadium that hosted some Division II or Division III games the same day.

Happened in 2012 at Legion Field Labor Day Weekend. UAB faced off against Troy at noon and Alabama A&M faced off against Tuskegee at 6:00pm. UAB/Troy drew 28,612 and A&M/Tuskegee drew 33,184 that night. It happed at Legion Field in 2007 but that didn't feature an FBS team.

I think I read about the Cotton Bowl hosting double headers during the state fair back in the day

Doubleheader to Noheader. With UAB’s loss to Middle Tennessee, the Old Grey Lady will sit empty next week.

Sucks, because my SU Jags won the SWAC West today and instead of playing the CCG at neutral Birmingham we now have to play at East champ Alcorn State, who already beat us at our house. Deck is stacked ...
