He has done a good job as the 'new' CA columnist.

"White dropped back and spotted wide receiver Damonte Coxie with a step on a Missouri cornerback running down the sideline. But the pass was underthrown and intercepted."

I didn't see it that way, but I wasn't there. It looked to me like a bunch of other times this year when it seems like White comes up and throws it to his primary target no matter what the coverage is. (That shouldn't be taken as too hard of a knock on him. A lot of QB's do that, even in the pros, and he is a rookie.)

"Juniors Patrick Taylor Jr. and Tony Pollard filled in admirably for Henderson." He's just being melodramatic with that. Heck, a lot of people have been complaining about how many carries Taylor has been getting in previous games. He's not really a "fill in".

That pass was underthrown. Another pass I believed bounced off the back of our guy and was intercepted. A number of passes were overthrown, overthrown, 3 yrds out of bounds.

Well, I am assuming the wind was playing havoc with BW’s passes. It was howling and BW lofts it. Probably affects White a lot more than QBs with strong arms. It is what is is.

So Brady White can’t play in the rain (Navy/UCF) and now he can’t play in the wind??? Gues he is only good when it’s 75, calm, and sunny. Bless his heart.

Yeah, I didn't say it right. I didn't think Coxie had a step on the DB and it seemed like White threw into coverage. Maybe the underthrown pass caused Coxie to slow down and let the DB close, but the camera wasn't on that yet.

If Mike Norvell isn’t concerned about getting hammered by 30 points, with that level of sloppy play, then he isn’t the guy for this program.

Kinda feel sorry for Mark G. He starts out as BB beatwriter during some of the lowest years in my lifetime. Then he gets moved to football as the football team has a disappointing season compared to expectations. Meanwhile, the BB team he was moved from is the talk of the city.

Evan Barnes is the football beat writer for the CA.

Mark G. is the sports columnist now, so basically can write about whatever he wants to. Went to Indianapolis with the Grizz for their opener last week.

The sloppy play is the biggest concern for me--it's the kind of mistakes that happened under Porter. Poor time management, delay of game penalties upon starting drives. Those are not dependent upon the strength of a QB's arm or the defensive scheme--they're just poise.

Mark G. works hard, does a lot of football stuff. I think he is fired up about the competition with the Daily Memphian.

Yeah, I really like Mark. He hit the ground running from the moment he arrived.

I agree Eagle4 to a point. Coaches have to shoulder some blame imho.

Well, to be fair, it's their stadium. But those delay of game penalties are ridiculous, and I feel are a direct result of the sideline huddle before every offensive series. Fuentzzz started it, Coach Norvell continues it, and I have no idea why they need to be so prolonged.
