Cool. We keep climbing despite losing. Only 125 more weeks and we'll be number 1.

What will keep UTEP at #130 for the duration will be their 30-10 loss at home to FCS Northern Arizona (3-4).

For those wondering about Western Kentucky's being ranked below Rice: they lost at home to FCS Maine (4-3). Maine was defeated by Yale 35-14.
Those who just insist that Rice should be no better than #129 are not focusing on the fact that there are many really awful teams.

It's also interesting, or shocking rather, how much variance there is for G5, or at least CUSA, teams. Wasn't WKY a top... 60ish team relatively recently?

Two seasons ago, they finished 11-3 and were #28 in my final rankings. Their coach, Jeff Brohm, accepted the Purdue job in December, 2016. Saturday night, Purdue defeated Ohio State, 49-20.
Coaching matters.

In any case, if we ignore each other, I think it will be best for everybody.
Deal?
You are free to ignore me. That doesnt give you carte blanche to post whatever you want and expect it to go unchecked. You can choose to ignore my responses, that's your prerogative.
Your response to WRC was clearly nit picking and totally tangential to his point. It was petulant, point blank, reading like an emotional outburst. I called it for what it is. Then you claim I'm taking it personally - which is funny.
I'm not going after anyone.. merely posts that are factually wrong, misleading, strawman building etc. If you keep getting flagged by the above filter, maybe you should review your own posts first before complaining about mine.

I'm sure that you were too busy being petulant, but Coach Brohm pointed out in his post game interview that, after the first 3 games, he decided to change his coaching philosophy. The ability to adapt was sorely lacking in Rice's previous regime, and sadly, seems to be absent early on with the present staff.
The willingness to change is another mark of good coaching.

You sound a bit .... petulant.
OK, no deal.
I don't see my question to WRC (NOT YOU) as any of the above. I think the filter in in your head starts with "OO". I think it is a logical inconsistency to attribute that one win to coaching, unless you are going to attribute the other 6 outcomes, including three losses, to the same source.
But it was enough to trigger your personal attacks on me. Sorry your hate extends to me. But I cannot change that.
My offer stands.

Other than WKU, who's between Rice and UTEP?

Per Massey, we are now even with UTEP in our matchup prediction. Although it does says UTEP 24 - Rice 23.. so maybe not so even after all.
