RE: AP Poll 10/22
Interesting.

After starting with getting votes after knocking off Michigan 10 years ago, App State finally cracks the Top 25.

RE: AP Poll 10/22
What pisses me off is that targeting calls (and other irregularities) that went in favor of the PAC’s two presumed playoff contenders (UW and USC) under the influence of the conference’s legal counsel are why the PAC is out of the playoff. The only loss either Utah or WSU should have is from their head-to-head matchup. But instead USC and UW got wins because of how PAC refs were influenced to call the game by an untrained 3rd party.

And I guarantee that what has come out through Pete Thamel is just the tip of the iceberg.

Congrats to App. State for getting ranked.

Overall, there isn’t a whole lot to fight over the current rankings.

No question, the interference of the conference legal counsel in replay decisions was a fiasco, and one that hasn't gotten enough attention.

Inexcusable.

Receiving a vote! Though I don’t see any way we become ranked unless we somehow beat Texas A&M.

Wait until it comes out that refs have told coaches not to even bother challenging calls.

It is amazing what UAB and Bill Clark has done. I never thought it would have been possible after basically getting a self imposed death penalty. I will say this is the best crow I have eaten. Also, congrats to App for breaking the top 25!

Larry Scott said at least twice that the conference doesn't have a manual or written policy regarding replay reviews. But of course they do, and someone gave a copy of the "2018 Pac-12 Instant Replay Manual" to the Oregonian newspaper.

https://www.oregonlive.com/sports/oregon..._scot.html

And of course Mike Leach sent some colorful text messages about the non-call on USC's helmet-to-helmet hit on Wazzu's QB.

Quote:In a Sept. 25 text message obtained by Yahoo Sports, Leach wrote to Pac-12 vice president of officiating David Coleman: "Woodie is a total coward and is afraid of USC. I look forward to telling him in person."

Prettty accurate rankings.

And yes Wazzu was absolutely screwed. They’d be in the thick of the CFP hunt.
