FIU moving the ball but the 1st quarter ends. Rice leads 7-0.

I think Marshman has been very good at decision making thus far, excepting the last pass to Cephus (IMHO). I also like the rollout to the left on the first drive... I could see three passes available - short, medium, long - with pretty easy reads for Marshman.

FG makes it 7-3. Could have been worse. Owls hanging in there. Chamberlain is taped up pretty good on his arm but he's playing.

It might not be fully showing up yet, but that Montero-Chamberlain-Calderon combination looks like it has the potential to be a solid core to build around.

Hopefully you're referring to her song 'Lotta Love' and not the fact that she died way too premature (at the age of 45).
And Lotta Love was written by Neil Young, originally for Linda Ronstadt, but Linda instead passed it on to her good friend.

Playcalling and no OL blocking does us in again. Another quick punt for Rice.

65 yard punt but a 15 yard return (which shouldn't have been allowed due to a block in the back). FIU 1st and 10 at their 20.

D-Line actually winning some 1v1 battles. Pressure on a couple throws so far.
* Problem is that outside of Bickham (most of the time), basically nobody in the secondary can defend 1v1. So if the pressure doesn't get there...

Are you sure about that? I'm pretty sure I read on an album liner that it was written by Robert Plant.

Rats a missed tackle in the backfield and boom, they score a long touchdown. I couldn't tell who it was who missed that tackle but it wasn't an easy play. Still one that should have been made.

That play had me fooled pretty well, along with at least 11 owl players.
