I haven't seen the final score but I'm going out on a limb and guessing there really were no winners in this game tonight.

Amirite?

One final note: Tulane had 2 weeks to prepare for this game.

If Tulane was serious about athletics, the AD (Troy Dannen) would let the HC (Willie Fritz) know that the search for a replacement has begun. But after giving Fritz a big new contract, I’m honestly not sure if Tulane Athletics can afford to buy him out and get somebody better at the same time. Maybe, maybe not.

Just give Dunleavy all of the money you're going to give the FB program. He might actually finish above .500 this year.
Fritz only mistake is being loyal to Banks.

Good as in a well played, hard fought game in which it was a shame that one team has to lose, or just a close game?

Serious question, I didn't see any of it, just read the comments above and made some assumptions.

Just a close game. I mean, there were some genuine “key plays” which happen in any game that keeps score. But nobody that’s familiar with college football thought they were watching anything but two bad-yet-evenly-matched teams.

Not a great game but SMU grabbed the bull by the horns and won it in the end with a great TD pass from Hicks to Proche. The defense also played well.

Both Offensive Coordinators exhibited a sadistic desire to run the ball up the middle for 1 ypc. SMU won when they started to open up their offense
