TCU Game - Jawaun Johnson
Checking in on other games with the bye week. Looks like JJ is starting today. Watched one Oklahoma drive and JJ looked awful. He couldn’t shed a single block. Beating a dead horse here, but the kid should have stayed at NIU. I’m guessing he’s only playing due to injury.

He will definitely have some opportunities this game. They’re a little banged up on defense. He does look lost though.Oh well.

JJ was awful, still lost out there. He started due to multiple injuries but played so bad he was pulled for a DE they moved to LB mid game. I'm over it completely now.

Hard to pick up a complex scheme like TCU has. Terrible mistake in hindsight for him. Too bad since he was such a playmaker for us. Obviously would have loved if he stayed but since he didn’t, following Kane to SMU would have been smarter. I don’t know if he was even asked to go there but would assume he would have been welcomed there.

Still feel some of JJ’s success is from the Sutton effect. Might explain AJD moving up to the next level in play as well.

It's interesting to see so many grad transfers and how they perform at their follow on school. Russell Wilson was a great example of success when he transferred from NC State to Wisconsin. I wonder though what is the general success rate. FBS level is more than being a great talent; it's also football IQ. This could be a very hard lesson for many players.

JJ with a scoop and score. Starting to see more PT but late in the season. Looks like will become bowl eligible so he’ll get to play another game for tcu.

Getting a lot of love from Tim Brando in the broadcast as well. Would have been a game changer for us even with this great defense.

Ha! that was some junk. This is quite an improvement, he may finally be getting some good tape for NFL scouts.
