Fall Ball Exhibition @ Sam Houston State
Anyone in attendance?

I'm sure we'll have a pretty nice crowd for the Aggie scrimmage next Friday evening at Reckling.

Sam is up 3-1 in M6. Follow @BearkatsBSB for details.

I think they’re playing 12 innings.

Not a good outing by Moss, but our other pitchers are doing well. Also, keep in mind, Sam started their Fall Ball 2 weeks before we did, and played an exhibition with the Aggies 2 weeks ago.

Well, if only 1/5 runs is a “giveaway,” that’s better than the last few years, right?!

7-5 Sam now. Frustrating that we can’t get any info from the Rice Twitter... No idea who’s pitching, etc.

Dunlap has had a nice Fall at the plate. He's listed as IF/OF, but has played mostly infield so far defensively. If he's going to get ABs it's going to be in the OF. Perhaps as a righty/lefty platoon with Gneiting?

Duncan puts up a zero in the 11th and after the Kats go in order in the bottom half, we head to the 12th.

Cole Wesneski on to pitch for the Kats, who lead 7-5.

Why 12 innings? To get more PT?

Just curious.

Yes, to get as many players in the game as possible. Actually, in the past, we played 14-inning exhibitions.

It was Collins not Dunlap.

We lose 8-5. Obviously would’ve been better to win but not going to be concerned until I see the box score to see who played.

RE: Fall Ball Exhibition @ Sam Houston State
The box score is now posted.. One positive is that we had pretty good control on the mound. Only four walks in 12 innings is pretty damn good. On the downside, we again allowed unearned runs and hit abysmally.
