WKU picked 1st by the Coaches
WKU 1st in preseason poll among coaches:

http://wkusports.com/news/2018/10/18/men...-team.aspx

Rather have Marshall picked 1st, we do not need Elmore playing against us 4 times with extra motivation...I am surprised Murray was picked over Bassey on all conf. team...

Man, this is hard to look at. Maybe about as hard as it will be to actually look at our team.

179-64, three NCAA tournaments, two NCAA wins, seven regular season or tournament championships in the past seven years to....

Suck.

Oh well. Fun while it lasted I guess. When does baseball season start?

It’s great to have runs like that. You always hope your head coach is going to stay or at least not leave for ole piss. But it is up to massaro to hire a quality guy (my preference is to have a coach in waiting and keep the pipeline going, like how Xavier has done for many years)

The last time MT finished ninth or worse in conference standings was 2001.

Name a mid major team to have continued success for 7 years? I don't think you'll come up with many. You enjoyed it while it lasted. Now you rebuild. Nobody stays at the top forever.

Butler, Wichita, Gonzaga, VCU, San Diego St, St. Marys, Dayton. Those are the ones off the top of my head.

Look at the basketball budget, coaches salary, attendance, and conference strength of those schools. Most of them are way ahead of all of us.We just do not stack up.Can anyone in C-USA get to that level? Maybe--but nobody yet.

--Also only one of those is playing FBS football.

The order looks about right to me. I could see NT sneaking up a spot or two.

It’s funny talking about chips on shoulders or anything for college basketball players. If it takes a chip on the shoulder to get a player up I don’t want them on my team.

Barring major injuries (as with all of us), I think you may be right. NT has a favorable schedule this time out, with many of the tougher matchups at home. At least until the pods come out. Then all hell is going to break loose. Gonna be great!

Oh my goodness. LMAO.

There is a very, very high probability that MT goes 0-11 in the non-conference portion of the schedule. We are going to have a top 10 - probably a top 5 non-conference schedule. There isn't a single team we play that will have a losing record.

Our three easiest games included two teams that both won 23 games last year (Toledo and Lipscomb). Charleston Southern might be winnable. Maybe.

Right on cue! Thanks! I will definitely bring this post back up when we win our first, of several, OOC games. As in - I believe that we aren't going 0-11, nor are we going 1-10. We haven't played a single exhibition yet and you're on your rant about the "very, very high probability that MT goes 0-11 in non-conference" ... sure, let's not even give the team a chance. LOL

We will not go 0-11 in ooc games. Lightning I think you're too down on this team. I think we will finish with 15 to 17 games this year.
