Punish the Dems......
Anybself reflection
Irony?
I wouldn't have used the term "punish" personally. However, I strongly believe that you cannot trust any democrat politician (not to be confused with a registered dem voter). With Bernie Sanders, Gillum, Occasio-Perez plus more self labeled socialists gaining more influence - you cannot trust the leadership to not be influenced by these people.
On top of that, you have the identity politics being exploited at an unprecedented level compared to their normal MO - so much so that highly dubious claim made by Blasey Ford was used to bludgeon an innocent man who objectively speaking (based on the multiple investigations) was innocent of the spurious claim. The Dems did not care. All they cared about was trying to gin up their base for the mid terms.
Speaking of identity politics... The Dems have been tarring and feathering minorities who prefer the GOP over the Democrat Party. In their arrogance, the Dems feel that the minorities are "theirs". If you're black and conservative - you're an uncle Tom. If you are Hispanic and conservative - you're a traitor to your culture. Now THAT's way more dehumanizing than the NPC meme that the left get's their titties twisted over...
Let's look at the fact that they want to abolish ICE and want to open the flood gates to illegal immigrants. The Dems cannot dodge this with "we're just talking to the base and don't REALLY mean it...". They mean it.
Claire McCaskill lying to the moderates in MO when she is really strongly allied with the values of Chuck Schumer and Pelosi. We saw both her and her staffers admit it freely in the Proj Veritas expose on her and her campaign. This is larger than Claire though - because we're seeing it everywhere in a purple or red state. Dems are lying to us in these states because they know if they ran with the same views as the Dems in the northeast and Cali - they loose. The Dem challenger in my congressional district doesn't slap the Democrat label on himself at all. You'd be hard pressed to know he's a Dem. Looks like a good guy. However...we know that it's a facade and that he's really going to vote with the Dem leadership in the House if elected. Dem leadership does not align with the values of most voters in the Midwest.
These are just some of the reasons why I - personally - will never vote for any Democrat ever again in my lifetime. To change this view, the Dems would have to make MASSIVE changes in their values, viewpoints and their integrity.
