Funky first half defenses
In the CMU presser, once again Lester says the team they played came out with something completely different on defense in the first half. This seemed to be a constant theme too in 2016 at the press conferences (and we had some slower starts).

What gives? Are the other teams afraid of the talent, and so they mix things up to (successfully at times) confuse us? Do they think they can out chess match our staffs (which doesn't seem successful given our second-half adjustments)? Is there some wrinkle in our offenses that other teams notice that our coaches don't?

It seems odd to me how much that gets mentioned, or maybe I'm putting too much weight on that. Usually defenses try to shut down specific players, but we have a dynamic offense with several different guys who can hurt you in both runs and passes.
