Awesome! Love the GLI, and I haven't made it over to LCA yet.
Should be fun!

This is our year to do something we will be missing a lot of fire power the next year . Tournaments that are close to Kalamazoo are the best cause lots student can attend and make for a festive atmosphere , if ya know what i mean .

I remember one game at the Joe-this would have been maybe 1985 or so-where we went to quadruple OT against BGSU. We won in the end. Great game!

Love watching it every Christmas (time). Unfortunately the GLI is a 'Do you bleed green and white or maize and blue' event, so I'm always cheering for Tech or the 4th team.
Notice we've been getting invited a lot lately?

Michigan and MSU could skip us for eastern or western teams when we were all in the same conference. (Sure, Tech's a host, but their answer is likely "Yes, sir" to everything)
Now they invite midwestern teams because they don't often see them outside the Big 6.5.

While plausible, I don't necessarily agree with this. I think the GLI got away from the whole east/west thing because they wanted better attendance. The last few non-Michigan/midwest GLIs had HORRIFIC attendance. You're simply going to draw better crowds for Ferris, BG, Northern, etc, than Colorado College and New Hampshire.

RE: Back to the GLI
Correction: Next season is the tournament in Anaheim and the year after is the GLI. Sorry.
