The CAA never knew how good the CAA had it. Last year's conference schedule consisted of 12 games on collegesportslive.com, three Northeastern games on NESN, and the semis and final on CBSSN. That's it. Any ESPN presence (even ESPN3) or other cable coverage happened when they played out of conference.

Making the NCAA tournament and regularly being in the national conversation gets you on TV. Being in a mid major conference does not unless it is regional like the old CAA. We are the only CUSA school in the DC region (for the sake of the regional sports networks like MASN). We haven't been to the NCAAs in 7 years.

There's still ESPN3 -- the cable providers would have birthed a spike-covered whale from their urethra had they not gotten any online-exclusive content -- but now there's another tier that includes some programming from ESPN3 and some programming that never would have been on ESPN3.

ESPN app on PS4 got a fresh update today that has the + content built in.
