R. I.P. Paul Allen
For those of you not familiar with Paul Allen, let me give you a brief synopsis. He has owned both the Portland TrailBlazers and the Seattle Seahawks, in addition to being part owner of the Seattle Sounders. However, his biggest accomplishment was being co-founder of Microsoft with Bill Gates. His relationship with Gates and Microsoft deteriorated so bad that Allen, left Microsoft, taking his shares of Microsoft stock with him. This is when he bought the Portland TrailBlazers and later the Seattle Seahawks (Allen did get to win a Super Bowl with the Seahawks, winning over Denver) Later in life, Bill Gates tried to make amends with his old friend Paul Allen. Paul Allen never did care much for hockey though, always passing on buying an NHL team. Allen died earlier today of Hodgkin’s disease @ 65.
