And the game ended up being a 'rout.'

EMU's losses to SDSU, UB and win over Purdue are looking pretty good this Sunday morning.

Last year we 'crowed' over beating Rutgers because they are a "P5" team. 04-jawdrop

EMU is hopeful that 6 wins will put us in a bowl game. No loss more than 7 points. No bad loss and some really close ones.

Wins over Purdue and Toledo are pluses. A win over a very solid Army team would be a 'feather in the cap.'

The remaining schedule for EMU is Army, CMU, Kent and Akron.

Probably at least 2 wins there for EMU maybe 3 or 4.

Buffalo keeps doing what good teams do that is pull away in the second half.

We don't talk a lot about WMU but they have a 6 game winning streak and put up 42 on Syracuse early this year. They were routed by Michigan but that is a playoff contender Michigan squad.

Let's say in a hypothetical Buffalo-WMU MACC.....WMU has the home field advantage in Detroit bringing 20,000+ fans. It should be a great game.

NIU is a wildcard in the race. Undefeated in MAC play with quality wins over EMU and Ohio. The WMU-NIU game on Nov 20th should be for the MAC West title even if either one stumbles in a game on the way there.

Ohio already had its stumble @NIU and has to play @WMU on Nov 1. The Bobcats can't afford another stumble if they want to keep pace with Buffalo in the East. Next week they have Ball St at home on Thursday night so taking care of business is imperative.

EMU with 3 losses is out of the hunt sadly but they are probably a top 4 team in the conference.

EMU is probably one of the best 4-4 teams in America...
Seriously !!

Lol. Talent wise. Coaching and scheme? Bottom 4.
Overall in a group with Ball State, Akron and Miami fighting for 6 wins.

Personally I think Toledo came out with their best half of the season vs. UB, then paired it with the worst. Amazing stupidity and undidcipliness by the players. The MAC Twitter page did mention how poor the refs were on some.ticky tack hits with UB flops. Still. No offense.
