Snyder was voted voted VHSL 5A 1st Team ALL-STATE DH after batting .441 with 26 hits and a .564 on-base percentage.

Prep Baseball Report had this to say on 5/30:

“Snyder is a big lanky two-way player who has started to fill out his frame but still has plenty of projection left to him. On the mound, showed a three-pitch mix with a fastball that was 82-84, touching 85, with some late life to it. Showed a good change-up with heavy fade and good armspeed at 73. Also threw a 12/6 curveball with some armspeed at 68-70. At the plate, got pitched tough but did have a sharp single to right in one at-bat. Has some batspeed and strength at the plate. Intriguing two-way talent in the 2020 class.”

I was checking out Fangraph’s 2020 Draft prospect list and Gelof is one of 640 players (college and HS) they have listed as a draft prospect. Considering that 1200 players get drafted each year it seems like Gelof has a good chance of getting drafted but if he signs is another matter (Jamie Sara was drafted out of HS but made it to campus).

I missed that Jake Gelof decommitted from WM and committed to UVA to play on the same team as his brother.
