RE: Golf 2018-2019
Jack Rhea shot par yesterday, to move to a tie for 29th, still at +2 overall. Go shot two-over, putting him at +3 overall, tied for 34th.
The Cardinal has 3 of the top 4 guys, and is now smoking the rest of the field by 10 strokes (on their home turf). Very briefly yesterday morning, UNCG pulled into a tie with them for the lead - before reality set in. They're now tied for 7th, whlie Ga. Southern is 4th.
There's no cut at this point, so the Bucs will be out today, too. Rhea will be in a group with Jake Vincent, the first-round leader who totally blew up yesterday, carding a 79 after a 64 the previous day.

RE: Golf 2018-2019
Apologies for simply being too busy to get to this topic lately, but ETSU's golf team has now concluded play with the end of the Stanford regional yesterday. The Cardinal again went team low, hanging a 272 up to go with their earlier 274 and 271. That's high-level consistency, and they win going away (by 12) over the Sun Devils and Tar Heels. Ga. Southern finished a very respectable 4th, but UNC-G really faded the last day, shooting 297 (worst team round of the day by far) to fall to 11th in the 13-team field.
Isaiah Salinda of the Cardinal won individually with a 10-under, 3 strokes better than 4 others.
ETSU-wise..............neither Rhea or Go will advance to the nationals. Rhea shot 72 to end up tied for 33rd, and Go carded 3 doubles on his way to a 79, finishing near the bottom, tied for 65th (75 in the field).
Congratulations on a fine season by these Bucs! Will be quite interesting to see how things (recruiting, etc.) evolve with the team now that Fred has stepped down.
