Baylor-Texas Tech moving off JerryWorld back to campus sites
https://collegefootballtalk.nbcsports.co...e-in-2019/

Quote:As part of the Big 12’s release of the 2019 schedule on Thursday, the conference confirmed that the annual game will not be played on Thanksgiving weekend at AT&T Stadium — the site of the game since 2009, with one exception — and has instead been shifted to October 12 next season at the Bears home field of McLane Stadium in Waco. The return game will go back to Lubbock in 2020 at a future, unreleased date.

While some fans will delight in making the trip to the banks of the Brazos or heading out to West Texas for the first time in a while, it seems both schools would have preferred to remain at JerryWorld the week of Thanksgiving but scheduling at the stadium seemed to play an issue in the site not being available when the two teams needed it to be.

Good. This is natural. JerryWorld is forced and artificial.

In contrast, Texas A&M and Arkansas are going to keep playing their game at JerryWorld through at least 2024. Looks like they locked up that stadium for the last Saturday in September in a long-term contract.

It was played there one year during the fair. It was okay but felt too forced, like both programs were trying to be like Texas-OU. Personally, I was very happy with the game in Jerryworld. Baylor benefited tremendously by avoiding a tough road game every other year. It is far easier to beat Tech at a neutral site than it is in Lubbock. I also have no interest in letting their fans get within 100 miles of the stadium. They, along with the Aggies, were always among the worst visitors to the Baylor stadium.
