of the 'bottom tier bowls' the Birmingham Bowl is kinda nice. It's close, it pays out a million bucks, and it gives you a SEC team to play.

I doubt we lose money as long as we sell over 5k through the ticket office....

Unless you personally witnessed 4th and 27 against UC in the Liberty Bowl in Tommy’s first year then don’t act like a know it all Tiger football fan. I was at that game

Unless you’ve personally witnessed the Chuck Stobart walk out year after the loss at UL then don’t act like a Know it all fan. I was at that game. And it wasn’t at pretty Papa Johns stadium. It was on UL’s piece of crap baseball/football field.

Unless you stuck with the Tigers after the team walk out you would have never witnessed the 63 point explosion our guys put on Tulane and a winning season. One of 3 straight Stobart winning seasons going 6-5 each year against a very tough schedule.

I could go on for days with personal eye witness stories of great wins and many tough losses.

I love the Tigers. Win or Lose

I was at the Navy game this year. The end result hurt but it was an honor to see a game in Annapolis.

It’s not always about winning every game. It’s about being a lifelong committed fan and cherishing memories of wins and losses.

It builds character to lose and still love your team. I’d rather truly love my college and lose vs being a bandwagon fan for whoever is winning at the moment.

Or, sat thru the nation’s longest losing streak (17) in 81-82.
This is great, exciting football. I am disappointed that we are 4-3 but team is fun to watch and “this” close to being 7-0 & ranked 15th. Stop your whining, get behind the team, and let’s get a few big wins this year - Mizzou, Houston, SEC team in Bham.

I was at all those games as well as the Florida state win here in the 70s.

The first win in Oxford.

The beating of Peyton and TN by the most motivated Tiger team I’ve ever seen. And that loss quite possibly cost TN the national championship.

The 4 wins over the past 4-5 years over top 25 teams here at the Liberty Bowl.

I was at everyone of those games and enjoyed the heck out of them. But I don’t recall a 4th quarter like today when we did make good plays, the refs took it away from us. But I’m proud of the effort of the team.

The game that always, always, comes to mind for me was the goal line stand against Ole Miss in the 60's. I was there and don't think
I will ever forget that series of play.

Correct. Brady White had a QBR of 73.1 today, Milton 41.5. We didnt lose because of QB play. Tough, exciting game - just didnt go our way. We played well enough, just some key mistakes & bad “breaks”.

We beat Mizzou at Mizzou, this week is forgotten 1 minute after a Mizzou win.

Lose at Mizzou - that's another story.

HOWEVER, after seeing the 4th-and-27, Kenny Coutain dropping a sure TD pass against Ole Miss, Rip Scherer insisting on watching his son lose 5 straight games at QB and the Larry Porter years, this is not the 'same ol' Tiger football'. Not after going to 4 straight bowl games.

The fact that Dynamos even said 'we have to raise the bar a little bit' after going to 4 straight bowl game is testament to our expectations.

Was there with you for all of those events ... After all of those times, I will take 4-3 with 2 of the losses being by 1 point each ... don't get me wrong, I would love to be 7-0, and believe that we have the talent to be there, but I gotta remember where we have come from and curb expectations .... Would I love 12-0 and a NewYears 6 Bowl, you bet ... But I am happy with 8-4 or 9-3 and a Bowl trip instead of 1-11 each year ... And we can't expect much better until the whole system changes and the money becomes equal ... But that isn't going to happen in my lifetime ....

And then there's UCF. How long have they even been playing D1 Football? They have a BCS and a NY6 under their belts.

This team had Navy and UCF beat. Even throwing the Tulane turd that's 6-1 and looking to roll to the division championship.

At 4-3 (1-3) that's over and done. This team is good enough and has put itself in a position to be 6-1 then let it get away. It's a real shame.

RE: Bright Side
The bright side for me.

The past 5 years have been the best stretch of Tiger football since the 1960's. The current coach, is, in my opinion, the best we have ever had. He is not perfect but has had the strongest recruiting classes, the most exciting offenses and just gets the Memphis community better than anyone else before. Brady White has the potential to be the best QB we have ever had. Very smart and makes good decisions. I see him getting stronger and better. If we can keep Henderson another year, we are the favorite to win the American next year.

But the real win is we will most likely have Mike Norvell for a minimum 2-3 more years. The future is extremely bright.

The bright side for me is that now the refs make everything up to us for the rest of the season.

I was a junior in high school (CBHS) attending my first ever Tiger game, didn't really have a favorite college team back then, but found myself rooting for the Tigers. I remember how excited I was after the goal line stand, became a life long Tiger fan that night. GO TIGERS!
