can't disagree....we moved the ball all day with great pass plays, get near the end zone, and go into a girlie man shell..

UTEP...yes, UTEP....was a better opponent than USM. Tennessee battered a weak-for -Auburn team when we had the same chances and played scared.

Sad thing is, we are not out of the West division playoff picture because everyone else is so weak...BUT YOU GOTTA SCORE SOME FRIGGIN' POINTS.

This team is hard to watch. Incompetent, bad football week in and week out.

Auburn was/is terrible. They've benefited all year from preseason rankings. People viewed our close loss to them as a moral victory...they blow. If we had an ounce of competency in our coaching staff we would've blasted Auburn. That close loss only gave delusional fans false hope because Auburn had an unwarranted "#10" by their name.

Meanwhile, we are terrible. Probably the worst we've been since 2012...and the fact that we're "still in it" as far as the conference race goes just shows how absolutely terrible our conference is. This is the WORST CUSA has ever been since it's inception.

Our OC is terrible. Our o line is terrible. Our run game is terrible. When we don't have Jaylond Adams (our REAL running game production/toss sweeps) we're even WORSE. Defense is good but if your offense turns the ball over or can't sustain drives then they are going to gas.

We may only win 2 more games this year (UNCC and UTEP). UTSA-toss up, Matshall-loss, LT-loss, UAB-loss, UNCC -win, UTEP-win

What about the special teams coach? Neither kickoff reached the end zone.

I’m not sure the game at Charlotte is a win. And UTEP has been close in their last 3 losses so if our O continues today’s play this could be a 3 win season at most. 03-hissyfit

Has it hit you guys yet? After watching this game, it hit me like a brick - the only reason we're not 2-4 is because one of the games was cancelled. I don't think there will be any need to try to schedule another game at the end of this season. That was just really bad football.

RE: Fire the entire offensive staff...two weeks to prepare = 7 points
When Griggs came in, needlessly, I immediately thought of the Nebraska game in 2012. EJ said he was going to play 2 QBs no matter what. Game still in reach and he brings in 2nd string QB.

Griggs needs to stay on the bench, unless Abraham gets injured. Parks needs to be moved to 3rd string, although Anderson isn't doing much.

If Mosley doesn't get the start this Saturday, then this coaching staff isn't fit to coach high school.

Hopson may be a nice guy, but he is not a D1 HC. At the conclusion of last season, Dawson should have been let go. Hopson just can't make the difficult decisions.

I saw where someone mentioned Dawson got an extension. Is there a link for that info?

The only reason we have this pathetic record is bc Jack has been the starting QB instead of Griggs. You people are the dumbest on earth. Daddy Ball Hopson strikes again.

You do realize that the game got out of reach as soon as Griggs came on the field. He went 3 and out, we punted and UNT took over on the 50, then UNT scored. All the while, our D had to go right back on the field and get even more tired.

If Griggs had been eligible to play since game 1 and started every game, he would still struggle with the O-line and the inability to run the ball.

I'm not a Griggs hater, but Griggs was QB last year and we lost 43-28 to UNT in Hattiesburg, which he had a better team.

RE: Fire the entire offensive staff...two weeks to prepare = 7 points
"A tough year for Southern Miss quarterback Kwadra Griggs got much more difficult this past weekend.
Griggs’ mother died Saturday morning prior to the team’s road game at North Texas, USM head coach Jay Hopson said on Monday during his weekly press conference.
“Kwadra has been through a lot,” Hopson said. “His mother passed away Saturday morning. That’s tough on a young man.”
Hopson said that Griggs found out at about 9 a.m. on Saturday that his mother had died. The game kicked off at 1:30 p.m."
