Just like at Miami, Broncos overcome a 2 TD deficit in the second half to beat BG 42-35.

268 penalty yards?!?

That's like an entire game's offense for NIU.03-weeping

Yes, that is true. There were 3 targeting penalties - including 2 on 1 play! 1 for each team. And the refs mic was barely working, and the ref wasn't signaling what the penalties were and who they were on, so we rarely even knew what the penalties were.

Ball State scored 17 points in the 4th quarter and made a field goal in the last minute to win at Central Michigan, 24-23.

Sounds like an epic comeback.

Yes. And conspiracy theorists are connecting the dots from the head official being the stone-cold HOTTEST ref in the country to some sort of publicity or spinoff action.

It was an epic comeback. This game brought back memories of the 2014 game at Central when Scott Secor kicked a 55-yard field goal with 17 seconds left to deal the Chippewas a 32-29 defeat. The BSU-CMU rivalry has a storied history. The all-time record is now tied and four of the past five meetings in the series have been decided by three points or fewer. The games are nearly always tense and tremendously fun.

RE: Week 7 Thread
Buffalo I thought really made a statement this week over defending MAC East champion Akron 24-6 pulling a way in the second half.

They have an easy remaining schedule; Toledo on the road who isn't playing that great, Miami then Kent at home and Ohio and BG on the road to finish up.

Since Ohio already has a MAC loss, Buffalo should be able to clinch a MAC East Championship on Nov 14th in Athens setting up a big game. Ohio will be lucky to go into the Buffalo game with only 1 loss.

Then it comes down to the MACC in Detroit which will probably be a crap shoot.

RE: Week 7 Thread
Taking a stab at power rankings...

1. Buffalo
2. NIU
3. WMU
4. EMU
5. Toledo
6. Ohio
7. Miami
8. Akron
9. BSU
10. BGSU
11. KSU
12. CMU

-Put Toledo behind EMU due to yesterday, although a Glassless EMU is likely under Toledo.
-EMU’s toughest part of the schedule is behind them
-Miami starting to hit a stride, might jump up a couple places soon
-BG, despite their horrid record, could take down a team or two above them unless their spirits are broken

If BG can wait another 8 months they can have Rod Carey. His contract is up in June.
