Of course the ONE game I can't watch (most of) while at a wedding we beat Toledo.

Watched some of the replay and highlights. Yeah, we're gonna have to get Grissom plenty of reps at QB, but no way we should hang our heads today. Defense came through when it mattered, even after multiple starters getting tossed (it sounds like).

I know the offense was garbage after Glass went out, but we have the rest of the season to practice different looks with Grissom/game prep for more passing from Weigers. Tough to go from an All-Glass-All-The-Time plan to primarily Weigers in the game is difficult. Hopefully we'll look more competent after another week of practice.

Our remaining MAC opponents:

BSU - losing 20-7 at half to CMU (CMU is 1-5, 0-5 against against the FBS).
Akron - lost 24-6 to Buffalo. They are 0-2 in MAC now.
CMU - see above.
Kent St - losing 31-0 to late in the 3rd quarter to Miami (2-4). Kent is 0-5 against the FBS.

Yeah, a guy shouldn't have leave the stadium week after week upset, even if it was a win. What a difference w/o Glass. Even my wife that can barely follow the ball stated "its so much easier when Weigers is in, he is soooo slow". Every time he plays you can bet on a fumble and batted down ball at the line. Bring on Grissom.

It drove us crazy that she would not point in the direction of the team when making a penalty call. Some fouls kept us in limbo.

And some of those targeting calls were garbage. Does the staff get a chance to review those with the NCAA?

With Glass in the game this could have been a blow out. Even so, if our kicker makes the field goal, we are up 31-20, and it would not matter whether Toledo scores a touchdown and makes the two point conversion. We still win. I think it's time to try someone else at field goals.

Do we need to take up a collection for a new microphone for the referee, so embarrassing. Hearing it cut in and out week after week should not be acceptable, so high school. Glad for the win though.

I'm not surprised we beat Toledo; I thought going into the week our defense was better than their offense and Toledo's defense is horrendous. I am "surprised" we let them get back into the game that much. Just goes to show how much we need a running game. If Glass is done, then we need Parker, Grissom, or Banham to really help the run game.

Great win! If we would have lost it would have ruined my anniversary trip in NOLA.

maybe we should give fricano a chance at kicker again?

Wiegers even tried to keep it a couple times on the zone read, but he's too slow to make it work.
