Think Isiah Brown, but a bit shorter. I think he was only about 6'6", but played slightly taller maybe. Did most of his work around the basket and in the lane, but he was more towards the 'elegant' end of the scale instead of a banger. Good bounce, but not an uber-leaper by any means. Worked hard, and was effective. Yet not the most aggressive; that was Troy Lee's job, I guess. He and Winfried Reid (who most definitely played taller than he was) were a good combo. And I think, if'n I remember correctly, that his senior season was the year Winfred King came on board. That was some team. We still had Quesenberry, who was a fantastic FT shooter, decent dealer, but overall hampered the team, imo. Wes Stallings was just a freshman; if he'd have been a sophomore or more at that time, that would have been a truly righteous team. As it was, they beat Ole Miss, Cal, and South Carolina (Ole Miss and South Carolina in the Dome). Lost a close one to Vandy in the NIT. Lost to Chatt in the SoCon finals - the great team with Willie White, Gerald Wilkins, and all those great athletes. They won a game or two in the NCAA with those teams, and lost close ones that would have advanced them to the Sweet Sixteen. They were ranked for a while. Remember the Murray St. team that came into the Dome, what, about 6-7 years ago? They reminded me of that Chatt team. About 7 guys who were all 6'5" to 6'7", and all thoroughbreds. All intense as they went about their business.
But I digress...…….a lot...…………..
I really can't think of a better comparison that a shorter Isiah Brown. Maybe a little like Adrian Meeks, altho I think he was superior to Meeks.
