Mo said there were some good things in ECU's first two three and outs. Seriously can't make this up.

It will be a interesting week around town with Mo's and Ahlers' future.

The Ahlers part shouldn't be interesting, he's the QB unless you have pure morons running the show. Never mind now that I just wrote that we have pure morons running the show so it's possible he might not be.

I think you have to start Ahlers now. Give Ifedi a series every game.

Watching ECU football definitely takes an emotional toll. It gets harder and harder to watch going on 3 years now. Even in Ruff's last year at 5-7, there were several close losses (Florida, BYU, USF, Cincinnati) and an expectation before most games that we might win.

I'm not sure I'd be using bringing back Edsall right now as the reason why brining back Ruff is the best idea.

It's actually taken far less of an emotional toll from me, which is worse IMO. I've given up that anything can be accomplished, that's far worse than being pissed or angry. I haven't gone to a single game this season after being a season ticket holder for 11 years.

I'm not too concerned. When you gotta play all Freshmen because the former regime's recruits were so bad, it is what it is.

Meaningless stats: ECU led 27-18 in first downs and 415-406 in total yardage. Time of possession favored the Pirates by more than six minutes. Well over 100 yards came after UH plugged in their 2nd unit but maybe it will serve as a catalyst to getting Holton the nod next week. At this point ECU fans are either giving up or finding whatever we can to hold on to hope.

I just feel like that is a narrative being used by Edsall to buy more time. No defense should ever be this bad. Diaco wouldn't have done this badly this year.

That's what everyone said about the Diaco offense.

Edsall's only in Year 2. He needs to be bowl eligible by Year 4.

But he had that civil conflict rivalry to recruit to.

Torture statistics long enough they'll confess to anything.

Well, that's not a lot of time to completely build a defense from last in FBS (and a QB who is just not good enough for AAC play).
