Can’t please everyone, I suppose.

You do a good job and you have the talent to accomplish much. Consider my comments as constructive criticism. You have the opportunity to do what most of us would enjoy and that is sitting down and interviewing the key leader of our athletics department. Keep TMo on track and the conversation more business oriented. Hopefully you will discuss the downhill slide of our football program and his thoughts about it.

I really do appreciate the feedback, so please excuse the smart ass remark. As far as keeping Terry on track...just wish me luck with that. I will say though that some of the best interviews that we've done have been some of the ones where I stick to the script the least. Questions, or at least a general topic, are always prepared in advance, but sometimes the most informative nuggets come from things that almost seem like random remarks and have to be followed up on. It's always an adventure to keep up.

I just can't complain about Kara's work. How many other SBC AD's are doing regular weekly interviews with local media? I mean, Texas State's AD refuses to even speak to half the local media in San Marcos.

I learned early on, the best interviews you will ever get from Terry are the ones where he veers off on his own tangent suddenly reveals something you had no idea about.
Those veers can also be pretty bad if there is no hidden gold and his veer topic isn't interesting.
