He should be off the team. First for his behavior. Second because he was run down by a police officer in only 150".

Or maybe...we should recruit the police officer...we could use breakaway speed

Always a spot on the Illinois State Jailbirds if he switches to BB.

NIU LB (Walker) Fled Crash and Elbowed Deputy in the Jaw
Walker was indignant from the moment he came on closed-circuit video.

"Oh my God," he said. "What's up?"

As Montgomery explained the charges and potential sentences, Walker laughed, smirked, shook his head and put it on the table in front of him for several seconds at a time.

"Are you with me, Mr. Walker?" Montgomery said at one point.

"That wasn't me, man," Walker responded.

Wow, how stupid can you be...

To leave the scene - dumb mistake; to elbow the cop is very stupid; to get an attitude with the judge (who will decide bail) is incredibly stupid! I am amazed the judge let him walk without bail. We will see how this plays out; dumb mistake is one thing but the rest may be a signal of negative character issues.

Yeah. That was a stupid move. McDonalds is always hiring. That’s all he’ll find after his jail time.

You hit a cop and then no bond? What was Judge Philip Montgomery thinking? And you wonder why DeKalb turning into a cesspool.

I wonder what the Chicago cops would do if you cracked a partner's jaw?
You hit a cop in Chicago, you would be lost in the jail system for a couple of days before posting a high bond.

Hopefully he is gone. Was he even playing? I don’t recall seeing him at all. Also wonder who he was with. Mentions passengers and clear drug use.

In Florida a battery on an LEO is automatic $500K bond, just to send a message. The Bond may be lowered, but not for a couple of weeks.

No accountability in Illinois. Bond reform is not working. I agree with these comments. Obviously no remorse and not compliant the next day at bond hearing. Judges are soft here.

RE: NIU LB (Walker) Fled Crash and Elbowed Deputy in the Jaw
It's been awhile since someone tripped the stupid-o-meter. Unfortunately it's going to happen from time to time when you have a group of 105 kids.

He could possibly remain on the team if he does the following:
-Stops being a moron
-Takes responsibility for his actions
-Sincerely apologizes to the other driver, the cop, his coaches, his teammates, his parents, the university, basically everyone
-Serves whatever criminal punishment he is given
-Serves a team suspension
-Does community service and whatever else the university applies
-Stops being a moron

If he does these things he could still go on to have a great career at NIU. If not, good riddance.

B-I-N-G-O. Catch and release. It’s sickening.

Or, he could attend Last Chance U where he can work on his attitude.
