RE: Bye Week Bearcats Football Talk
Temple is definitely the best team UC has played to date and probably the third toughest team UC will play all season. The Nova game was weird... but they rocked a good Maryland team and their other two losses were close games against BC and an undefeated Buffalo team. UC has been better overall this year, but Temple has shown real flashes of being a contender in the East.

I think Russo has been the straw in their drink just like Ridder has been for us. Nutile started those first two games against Nova and Buffalo and they scored 17 and 29 points. Enter Russo and they've put up 35,31,35 and 49 points.

They are very good on defense and special teams as well. After their first two hiccups, they've held the next four opponents under 200 yards passing (Maryland only threw for 63 yds and BC was only able to muster 148). ECU had 196 yards of total offense last week.

That was until (a very good) Army beat them by 4 TDs.

We can get a preview of Temple and Navy tomorrow:

Temple at Navy

TV: CBS Sports Network
Spread: Temple -7.0

Best thing about this season is that I again believe we can play with anyone on our schedule.

Somehow Temple has been able to develop into a program with a consistently solid defense and a solid ground game. They don't ever really wow you in a given year but they are usually a tough out (particularly for us the last several years).

Only one team is clearly better than us. We’ve got a shot in every other game.

There was a sighting of #25 UC Bearcat Football on the ESPN Gameday Opening Coming to Your City. It was the video of the guys banging the CPaw drum. When you are included in the Gameday Opening...you matter.
It's good to be relevant in College Football again.
Keep it up Bearcats!

Now, that other Kentucky university in Louisville? Best description I have heard was "a community college with a D1 athletic program grafted on".

UK is #147 and UL is #171

What reference are you using? And what was Cincinnati?

Not Doss, but I'm guessing USNWR. And if so, UC is about 140-ish I think.

Thanks! Was going to check USNWR

The best part of being in the Top 25 is the meaningless pub they start throwing at you. Whenever they make a "best [ ] on every top 25 team" article we have to be included now. Does wonders for the program.

Not only being in the top 25, but the drum thing is so unique, they couldn't help but put that in the video 04-rock
