RE: Week 6: Best in Texas Rankings
Baylor ahead of North Texas and Houston is a joke. At this point I'd put Texas Tech ahead of TCU and maybe A$M.

Dave Campbell's Texas Football has it this way:
1. Texas
2. A$M
3. North Texas
4. Texas Tech
5. TCU
6. Houston
7. Baylor
8. SMU
9. UTSA
10. Texas State
11. Rice
12. UTEP

Is Dave Campbell a UNT grad? When you barely scrape by the #12 team, hard to justify being at #3.

No way unt would be third. Beat a terrible Arkansas team. I think the first ranking were more accurate. Tcu and ttu would beat ya down pretty good.

Dave Campbell's ratings are based on conference afilliation.

TCU and Tech would probably beat us, but because we're 5-1 in CUSA we're ranked higher

Dave Campbell Texas Football started as a yearly magazine covering every high school, college, and professional football team in Texas. They also do another magazine for basketball. It's been around for something like 60 years. It's the Bible of Texas football.

Texas barely got past Tulsa and Kansas State yet they are number 1.

Because they beat a top 5 team, OU. Only reason they are above Ta&m.

TCU would rip the head off of the Mean Green and **** down their neck.

UNT is a poor man's TTU, they don't have the horses to get in a shootout with the fighting Kingsburys.

I'd move North Texas to 5th, and drop Baylor to 6th. I think we would beat them.
