Absolutely shocked at this spread. This is not a good Ohio team; the combined record of the teams they have beat is 4-15; and one is against a woeful Howard team that they barely beat, 38-32. We are again going to hear Carey build up this opponent, but this is a mediocre Ohio team that we should beat by 20... easily.

Post was about the Toledo game, right? But I don't care if Carey brags up Ohio, they are always tough for us. Still can't forget 2006 when McRae went crazy on us.

Only 4 points is a concern. Not sure the status of the Ohio qb. They are similar to us in that they have under performed. Really should have beaten Cincinnati who is undefeated now and ranked. Umass has hung in with their opponents. Had to rally against Kent but they got a win. I wouldn’t sleep on this team or Solich. They've always given us trouble.

I hope you're right, but the most we've scored in a game all year is 26 points. Gone are the JL days of a 26 point quarter.

Ohio is struggling, including having to come from behind to beat Kent St., but they do give us a tough game. I am sure the line was affected by their QB "Rourke is dealing with a shoulder injury and it is unknown if he will suit up against Northern Illinois on Saturday."

Ohio gives up 509 yards/game (364 passing), so maybe this week we might see our passing game pick up.

I think the spread is low. However, while I would love to beat Ohio by 20, until our O shows me they can put up more points I don't think we will have an easy game this year.

Yea, 509 yards a game to offenses with a pulse. I hate to be negative but 509 to an average offense means about 250 to us.

Decent write-up on MAC football. There is much more parity and not the usual gap between the top and bottom teams this year. We don't have any easy games left, including against surprising Miami.

Look no further than 2-4 EMU who's 4 losses are to #29 San Diego State and 3 MAC teams by a total of 13 points.

Toledo is 1 1/2 point favorites over EMU.

I will be rooting hard for EMU to take down the Turds! I also thought Toledo would be the team to beat in the West this year, but they have come back to the rest of the teams, including NIU. For example, the ESPN matchup predictor now has the Toledo NIU game as basically a toss-up. BTW the ESPN matchup predictor is interesting but I don't agree with some of the predictions. For example, it has us with a 38% of beating WMU; I don't see WMU being better than Toledo. I now see NIU, WMU and the Turds as about even for the West title, and my concern is whether we can score enough to beat the Turds and WMU. That is really a concern with all of our remaining games, but more so with the Turds and WMU's offense. I keep hoping our offense improves and gels; relying on our D as much as we have will catch up to us sooner or later.

The Toledo board isn't happy about being only 1 1/2 point favorites.

Ohio defense ranked #123, 6th worst in all fbs. They give up a whopping 508 yards/game.

Ohio offense is at #38 gaining 455 yards/game.

This game will be stregth vs strength and weakness vs weakness.
